Four counter-protesters (presumably from the inappropriately named 'Stand up to Racism') have been arrested during a protest by the United Kingdom Independence Party (UKIP) in centralΒ London, theΒ Metropolitan PoliceΒ said.

The protesters were arrested after appearing along a route designated for the UKIP march, in breach of conditions put in place by the force.

No arrests were made of the UKIP demonstrators.
