“BRITAIN IS WOKE”

Stumbling across a video of an interview about Britain’s two main political parties tussling on the subject “Britain is woke” my assessment is that the interview was diverted from truth and reality by all the players on this piece. One commentator was asserting that wokeness in the workplace is good for business, employees and output. As is common with such statements, no basis in truth or fact was offered, merely her opinion.

The past 15 years have witnessed serious decline in the quality of public services delivery to The British People, while expenditure (time, money, people) has soared on matters that are wholly unconnected with what these institutions exist to do.

Creating a great workplace is about ethical leadership, quality of management and communications, courtesy and respect.

However, the so-called “equality, inclusivity and diversity” religion (“EDI”) is not about any of those, but is concerned with driving a particular ideology, force-feeding this into the hearts and minds of people who should be free to think independently but are prevented from doing so on pain of disciplinary proceedings or dismissal, certainly persecution from some colleagues and management..

For businesses to thrive, especially in the public sector, it is vitally important that people are permitted to think independently, think outside the box, learn to think critically, and for themselves. But the EDI agenda, actively, intentionally and arbitrarily suppresses this; it is implacable in demands that absolute obedience and homage be paid at the shrine of this particular religious belief system.

This is wholly unacceptable; the preaching, promulgation of private, political, ideological views with the intention of prioritising those in the workplace should not be paid for by the public and should rather be seen as an act of misconduct in public office and an unlawful use of public funds.

It only has taken root materialised because a zealously vocal minority of activists were placed in positions of power during the Blair years and have been supported by Cameron, May and everyone since then.

It is absolutely and utterly egregious that the British people, many of whom are suffering during these times of hardship, should lose out while phenomenal sums of money, enormous amounts of time, and substantial efforts of employees are misdirected.

There has to be an accounting, and for this to happen, there has to be a complete turnaround, renewal of mindset and a complete cleansing of governance.
